Order Cancellation

Customers may cancel their order within 1 minute of placing the order. After 1 minute, cancellation may not be possible because the home cook may have already started preparing the meal specifically for you. We recommend reviewing your order carefully before confirming.

Order Preparation

All meals on Maase are freshly prepared by home cooks after the order is placed. Since the food is cooked specifically for the customer using fresh ingredients, cancellations after the allowed time window are generally not permitted. This policy exists to protect and fairly compensate our home cooks for their time and ingredients.

Meals on Maase are prepared fresh after order confirmation to support local home cooks. We appreciate your understanding and support for the home kitchen economy.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued in the following situations:

  • Order was not delivered and no delivery attempt was made
  • Incorrect meal was delivered (different from what was ordered)
  • Significant food quality issue reported immediately after delivery with evidence
  • Order was cancelled within the allowed 1-minute cancellation window
  • Payment was charged but order was not confirmed or placed

Refund Processing

Once a refund is approved by our support team, the amount will be returned to your original payment method. Processing times are as follows:

Refund processedIf approved, the refund is credited to your original payment method within 5–7 business days depending on your bank or payment provider.

Delivery Issues

If delivery fails due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, the customer being unreachable at the time of delivery, or the customer being unavailable at the delivery location, refund eligibility may be limited. In such cases, Maase will make reasonable efforts to redeliver or resolve the issue, but cannot guarantee a full refund.

Platform Role

Maase acts as a technology platform connecting customers with home cooks. While Maase strives to ensure a high-quality experience on every order, food is prepared by independent home cooks registered on the platform. Maase will mediate disputes fairly between all parties involved.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will generally not be issued in the following cases: change of mind after food preparation has started, order placed by mistake after the 1-minute window, or dissatisfaction with portion size where the portion was correctly described on the platform.
